Cheetah - Acinonyx jubatus

The Cheetah is a medium sized Big cat found in the North, South and East of Africa with a small population also found in Iran.

They're tall and slender with a small rounded head, a deep chest, long, thin legs and a long tail perfect for an animal designed for speed. In fact Cheetahs are the fastest Land animal.

Unlike most other Big Cats who do the majority of their hunting at night, Cheetahs are mainly active during the day, in part due to how they hunt and in part to avoid competition with other large predators such as Lions who will attack and kill Cheetahs if they are able
to.
